Everyone Needs Estate Planning Documents
In Pennsylvania, if a person passes away without a Will and has assets that are individually owned without a beneficiary designation, the State of Pennsylvania dictates how those assets will be distributed.
If a person becomes incapacitated without a Power of Attorney, guardianship is needed. This is a court proceeding which can become very expensive to set up and very costly to maintain. All of this can be avoided with a Power of Attorney.
